one. two. many. not three.

I just heard a story about a language that doesn’t actually count any further than two.

Most of their culture was apparently build on negotiations and compromises among their people and they realized that, as soon as more than two people were involved, however more than two, the discussions were becoming too complicated to be able to get to a really constructive result.

So, for them, in order to take decisions, it should either be taken by one person responsible for a specific task based on his/her expertise, or by two people who might have different opinions and could talk it out. but never more. never by many.
